Position Summary

Amergis EducationalStaffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Registered Nurse (RN) tojoin our team. This role is vital in supporting the physical, mental, andemotional well-being of students in a school setting. The School RN applies thenursing process to deliver high-quality care, respond to medical emergencies,manage chronic conditions, and promote overall health and safety.

 

As a key liaisonbetween families, school staff, and healthcare providers, the School RN ensuresthat services are delivered in accordance with Amergis’ philosophy, standards,policies, and physician orders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students
  • Respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic health conditions
  • Promote health education and wellness initiatives
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • School Nurse Certification (as required by state or contract)
  • One year of experience in school nursing, public health, or pediatrics (preferred)
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
