Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Pay Rate: $45–$50/hr

Position Overview

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to students with special needs from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role emphasizes collaboration and team participation in planning and implementing individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
• At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Preferred Certifications:
  • Standard Elementary Teaching
  • Standard Secondary Teaching
  • Standard Special Teaching
• Preferred Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1)
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (as required by contract or state)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
