Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hrs/week

Job Description:
The Telemetry RN is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role involves clinical judgment, critical thinking, and coordination of care in a fast-paced telemetry unit. Nurses in this unit manage patients with renal conditions, including post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and collaborate closely with nephrologists and hospitalists.

Essential Duties:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Monitor telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications and manage IVs
  • Educate patients and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Float to other units and hospitals as needed
  • Work every other weekend and holidays as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Alabama or compact; no temp licenses)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (will consider 18 months with 1 year in specialty)
  • AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Strong communication and computer proficiency
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
