Afterschool Aides Needed !!! ($19-$22)

PayRate – $19 – 22

TheSchool Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional,and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special educationdepartment, teacher and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may alsoprovide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobilityand therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation healthpractitioner, social worker or other health care professional. 

JobDescription:

ProgramLeaders work directly with students in grade level groups. Here are somebullets that can provide some information about typical tasks:

• Plans and delivers educational literacy, physical fitness, and academic enrichment activities
• Assists in enforcing safety and disciplinary rules in classrooms or playground
• Informs the Youth Specialist of student progress and or challenges
• Observes and records information about student behavior when necessary
• Assists with the maintenance of a clean, healthy, and safe environment of the after school facilities
• Administers first aid or necessary physical assistance to ill or distressed students
• Supervises 20 students, leading groups through educational and extracurricular activities
• Verifies s student attendance various times throughout the program day
• Distributes snack/meal items during supper time
• 
  

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements   
• Must be at least 18 years of age
