School Psychologist (LSSP) | $55/hr | Full-Time | 36-Week Contract | Houston, TX Area

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide in-person psychological services for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year in the Houston, TX area. This full-time role begins October 13, 2025, and offers a competitive rate of $55/hour.

Position Overview:

• Location: Houston, TX area

• Start Date: October 13, 2025

• Duration: 36 weeks (remainder of 2025–2026 SY)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: 37.5/week (school hours)

• Modality: In-person only

• Floating: Possible across multiple campuses (discussed during interview)

• Meetings: Monthly in-person staff meetings (Fridays) required

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct special education evaluations (Autism, ED, OHI for ADHD)

• Provide psychological services (consultation, counseling, direct/indirect support)

• Perform suicide risk screenings and crisis response in collaboration with district teams

• Attend IEP meetings and campus staffing sessions

• Maintain case records and provide consultation to staff and families

• Support adaptive behavior programs and parent groups

• Collaborate with community health and social welfare agencies

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Texas LSSP license and TBHEC certification

• Master’s degree in school psychology or related field (doctoral preferred)

• Minimum one year of school-based psychological services experience (internship counts)

• Experience in assessments, consultations, and direct services

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
