Position: Special Education Teachers
Location: Middlesex County, MA

Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday (varies by school)

Amergis Educational Staffing is proud to partner with schools across Middlesex County to support students with diverse learning needs. We’re hiring Special Education Teachers who are passionate about helping students thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct support to students in 1:1, small group and whole classroom settings
• Assist with behavior support plans and academic activities
• Track and document student progress and behavior data
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment
• Step in flexibly to support other classrooms when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or special education needs
• Knowledge of IEPs – writing goals, etc. 
• Strong de-escalation and behavior management skills
• Familiarity with data collection and behavior tracking tools
• Calm, patient, and adaptable in dynamic school settings
• Team-oriented with a growth mindset

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
• Must be at least 18 years old and meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Compensation & Perks

• Up to $65/hr – $1500 completion bonus

Description: 

• Provide direct support to students in both 1:1, small group, and whole classroom settings
• Assist with implementation of behavior support plans and academic activities
• Collect and record data related to student behavior and progress
• Write IEP goals
• Support paraprofessionals and other support staff in their roles
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Attend team meetings 

Experience: 

• Comfortable working with students with high needs and behavioral challenges
• De-escalation 
• Experience with data collection (types taken/programs used) and behavior tracking
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility to support other students and classrooms as needed. 
• Collaborative and growth mindset. 

Pay Rate: 

 

• Up to $65/hr based on experience

Minimum Requirements: 

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must be at least 18 years of age
