Special Education Teacher – High School M/M | $50/hr Local or $2,800/wk Travel | Full-Time | Temporary | Morgan Hill, CA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a high school mild/moderate (M/M) classroom in Morgan Hill, CA for the first semester of the 2025–2026 school year, with potential for extension. This is a full-time, in-person role beginning October 5, 2025, and running through December 19, 2025.

Position Overview:

• Location: Morgan Hill, CA

• Start Date: October 5, 2025

• End Date: December 19, 2025

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: 40/week

• Modality: In-person only

• Pay Rate: $50/hour (local) or $2,800/week (travel)

• Setting: High School, Mild/Moderate

• Type: Temporary (with possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for high school students with mild/moderate needs

• Collaborate with general education and support staff

• Participate in planning and implementation of individualized student programs

• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid California teaching certificate (SPED required)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
