The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergentcritical care areas.

  • General Information
    • Beds: 35 beds; 6 fast track rooms
    • # of patients seen per day: 168
    • Experience? 3 years ED experience – needs to be in a fast paced facility
    • First-time traveler? Upon Review – with strong experience
  • Patient Types:
    • Neonate to Geriatrics – all ED diagnoses seen
    • Heavy Mental Health population
    • Invasive Neuro, STEMI requiring Cath Lab 
    • Trauma, include but not limited to: GSW, Stabbings, Falls, MVC
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Day & Night – 1:4 (acuity based)
    • Fast Track – 1:6

Required Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

  • Charting System/Equipment:
    • EPIC
    • Alaris
    • Pyxis
  • Floating:
    • N/A
  • Orientation:
    • (2) 12 hr shifts on unit
  • Scheduling:
    • Shift times: dependent on requisition
      • 1900-0730
    • Weekend rotation – every other
    • Can we approve time off. Reach out to Travis Bond for approval
    • No call required
    • Holiday Expectations: 2/4 major holidays or every other
