Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) San Antonio, TX
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 36 weeks (ASAP – May 23, 2026)
Caseload: 35–50 students
Grade Levels: All ages
Pay Rate: $42/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in San Antonio, TX. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language needs. This role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related responsibilities within the scope of the assigned plan of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing speech and language programs as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide direct treatment to students under supervision
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
  • Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of Texas
  • One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
  • Compliance with professional standards of practice
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
