Special Education Teacher – Resource Setting | $50/hr | Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource setting at a Phoenix-area campus. This in-person role begins September 22, 2025, and runs for 36 weeks. The teacher will work under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs and provide specialized instruction.

Position Overview

• Location: Phoenix, AZ

• Start Date: September 22, 2025

• End Date: Full school year (36 weeks)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

• Pay Rate: $50/hour

• Modality: In-person only

• Interview Format: Virtual

• Caseload: Approximately 30 students

• Certification Required: Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and tutorial support

• Implement IEPs and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines

• Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

• Participate in team planning and student program development

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid Arizona teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education)

• LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
