Algebra Teacher – High School | San Antonio, TX | $38/hr | Full-Time | CORE EC–12

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time General Education Teacher to deliver Algebra instruction at Somerset Academy’s high school campus. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through May 21, 2026. The teacher will lead a classroom of 15–20 students, providing structured instruction and individualized support as needed.

Position Overview

• Location: San Antonio, Texas

• Start Date: September 22, 2025

• End Date: May 21, 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM (40 hours/week)

• Pay Rate: $38/hour

• Grade Level: High School

• Subject: Algebra

• Modality: In-person only

• Interview Format: Virtual

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging Algebra lesson plans

• Lead classroom instruction and maintain a productive learning environment

• Provide 1:1 support to students as needed

• Monitor student progress and ensure alignment with curriculum standards

• Collaborate with school staff to support student success

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Texas teaching certification – CORE EC–12

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
