Amergis is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in the Madison area for the 2025–2026 school year. 

Open Positions

• Full-Time – High School

Caseload

• Approximately 13–15 cross-categorical students

• Provide targeted instruction and support across multiple disability categories

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet academic, social, and behavioral goals

• Conduct formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust instruction

• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons

• Coordinate with families, administrators, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support

• Manage behavior plans and implement positive behavior interventions

• Monitor and report on student growth, maintaining accurate documentation and compliance

Position Details

• Schedule: August 2025 – June 2026

• Compensation: $40–$45/hour, based on experience

• Location: Greater Madison area

Ideal Candidates

• Hold a valid Wisconsin DPI license in Special Education

• Bring experience or strong interest in cross-categorical instruction
