Developmental Preschool Teacher

Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Developmental Preschool Teacher to join our Special Education team. This full-time role involves leading a dynamic classroom of young learners aged 3–5, fostering growth through inclusive, play-based learning and individualized support. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to individual student needs

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture

• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to promote student success

• Participate in case conferences and contribute to IEP development

Classroom Details:

• Caseload: 24 students, ages 3–5

• Schedule:

  • Morning session: Younger students

  • Afternoon session: Older preschoolers

  • Fridays: No student instruction; teacher reports for planning and case conferences

• Support Team: 3 adult classroom aides

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license with appropriate early childhood or special education endorsement

• Experience working with preschool-aged children in inclusive or special education settings

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
