About the Role
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate School Aides to provide 1:1 support for students with special needs in Pasadena. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a meaningful impact in a student’s daily learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs in classroom and school settings
- Assist with academic tasks, behavior management, and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to implement IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior
- Support students during transitions, meals, and recreational activities
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment tailored to each student’s needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children with special needs (preferred)
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow individualized plans and adapt to changing needs
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
