Amergis Educational and Healthcare staffing is seeking Behavior Technicians. This position is based in a public school setting supporting students 1:1 with special needs who require behavioral and instructional support.
Amergis is seeking qualified professionals who have former experience working with special needs or disabilities.
Through Amergis you will earn a Certification, recognized by the department of health as a Certified Behavior Technician. All trainings through this program are paid and we provide all resources to obtain the necessary credentials listed below.
The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician works tofacilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults withspecial needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioralspecialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives. TheRegistered/Certified Behavior Technician can support implementation of AppliedBehavior Analysis (ABA) therapeutic services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered BehaviorTechnician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)license (as applicable per state/contract)
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years relevant experience preferred
- One year relevant experience preferred
- Associates degree in behavioral studies or related fieldpreferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
