Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Position Type: Full-Time

Start Date: School Year 2025–2026 (Exact Date TBD)

Duration: Full School Year

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM (35 paid hours/week)

Position Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) facilitates educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. This role involves collaboration with school professionals and behavioral specialists to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and support students in achieving their learning and behavioral goals. The RBT will work within an inclusive model, primarily serving early childhood and elementary-aged students with autism in public school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA-based interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Support students in inclusive classroom environments
  • Collect and document data on student progress and behavior
  • Collaborate with educators and other specialists to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Adapt to changing student assignments based on progress and IEP/BIP updates
  • Maintain accurate paper-based documentation (training provided during orientation)

Work Environment:

  • Inclusive classrooms within public elementary schools
  • 1:1 student support model

Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license (as applicable)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with students with autism, preferably in early childhood settings
  • Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
