Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Lee, MA
2025–2026 School Year
Contract Position | Full-Time Schedule
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a school in Lee, MA, currently seeking a male RBT to support a 9th-grade male student for the 2025–2026 academic year. While ABA services will not be provided, the district is requesting a male RBT out of an abundance of caution. A male BT with strong experience may also be considered. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and student-centered environment.
Position Overview
As an RBT or experienced BT, you will support a student with potential ASD, developmental disabilities, or other behavioral/developmental diagnoses. The student is new to the district, and specific behavioral information is not yet available. Candidates must be skilled in de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and ABA methodologies, and be flexible in supporting various school duties.
Schedule
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Start Date: August 27, 2025
Pay Rate: Up to $30/hr (based on experience and certifications)
Key Responsibilities
- Support student with behavioral and developmental needs
- Manage behaviors such as aggression, eloping, flopping, or self-injury
- Apply de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed practices
- Collect and document behavioral data (types/programs used)
- Implement discrete trial training and other ABA strategies
- Assist in other classrooms as needed
- Cover recess, lunch, and bus duty
- Provide toileting/changing assistance if required
Qualifications
- RBT certification preferred; experienced BTs will be considered
- Experience with ASD, trauma, and behavioral challenges
- Strong skills in de-escalation
- Trauma-informed care
- Data collection
- Discrete trial training
- ABA methodologies
- Flexibility and collaboration in a school setting
