• Setting: Highschool 
• Location: Santa Ana,
• Schedule: M-F, school hours/schedule 
• Pay: up to $37/hour- Weekly Pay

Mental Health Counselor Responsibilities:

• Assist students with course selection and academic planning

• Monitor student progress and support academic success

• Provide college and career counseling

• Guide students through college applications and financial aid

• Organize career fairs, college visits, and workshops

• Offer individual and group counseling for emotional and social issues

• Address bullying, peer conflicts, and mental health concerns

• Respond to crises and coordinate emergency interventions

• Develop and manage 504 plans and support IEPs

• Refer students to external support services when needed

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators

• Maintain confidential student records and documentation

• Promote a safe and inclusive school environment

• Teach life skills, coping strategies, and decision-making

• Support attendance, discipline, and behavioral interventions

• Advocate for student needs and equity in education

Qualifications:

• PPS- Pupil Personnel Services Credential
• at least 1 year of school setting preferred
• California License
