Amergis is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in an Emotional Growth Center classroom within the Beaverton School District. This role focuses on providing high-quality instruction and behavioral support to students with elevated emotional and behavioral needs.

?? About the Role

Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support for students in grades K–12

• Collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs

• Provide tutorial assistance and behavioral consultation

• Foster a structured, supportive learning environment

• Anticipated 40 hours/week

• Grade Level: Likely Middle or High School

• Setting: Emotional Growth Center classroom

• Compensation: $54/hour

• Start Date: ASAP

?? Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid state teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching preferred)

• LBS1 endorsement preferred

• Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

• Experience working with students with high behavioral needs

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB screening and health certificate (as required)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Minimum age: 18 years
