Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – School-Based Opportunity
Location: Palm Springs, CA
Facility: Local School District
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school district team in Palm Springs, CA. This role involves working closely with students, educators, and occupational therapists to support the development of essential life and academic skills in a school-based setting.

Compensation:

  • Local Pay: $40–$45 per hour
  • Travel Pay Package: $2,045 weekly gross

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with occupational therapy needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student success.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal standards.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students across various grade levels.

Requirements:

  • Active NBCOT Certification
  • Experience with pediatric populations and IEP processes preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
