Youth Services Specialists needed to work in a Correctional setting across Colorado
- Colorado Springs, Denver, Golden, Grand Junction, Greeley, Pueblo
- 40hrs/wk – Days, Mids and Nights available
- 9/2 start, 26wk contract
- $30/hr after orientation
- Ideal candidates have experience in corrections, security, or juvenile detention centers
The Youth Care Worker will display a professional and caringattitude and will encourage positive behaviors through effective communication,decision-making, and problem-solving. The Youth Care Worker will respond to emergencies and assist in theredirection of youth when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in social sciences, counseling,behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or childdevelopment preferred
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the care, custody, orpersonal guidance of youth
- Bilingual or multilingual may be preferred in somesettings
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
