AmergisEducational Staffing is partnered with a school in Fall River, MA thatis currently seeking Special Education Teachers to work withstudents on a contractual basis.
Details ofthe Position Include:
Location: Fall River, MA
Pay Rate: Up to $65/ hour (Based on experience)
Start Date: August 2025
Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM – 2:50 PM
Requirements:
– MADESE certification in Special Education preferred
– Bachelor’sdegree in a related field required
Description: Amergis is hiring two SpecialEducation Teachers to support programs at the high school level.
– Position1: This role involvesworking in the 18–22 program, supporting students with a combination ofintellectual and medical disabilities. Responsibilities include providing lifeskills instruction, academic support, and participating in co-teachingenvironments.
– Position2: This teacher willlead a sub-separate math or science classroom, with part of their schedulededicated to co-teaching in general education settings.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
