The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse,requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise.PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition tothe assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance usedisorders. The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner anddemonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination ofpatient care. The PMH RN works in avariety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families,and communities when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- ?? Start Date: Aug 18th, 2025
- ?? Position: Registered Nurse – Psychiatric State Hospital
- ?? Schedule: Rotating 36/48 hours per week
- ?? Shifts: 12-hour shifts – Days and Nights Needed
- ?? Contract Length: 26 weeks (with potential to extend)
Total Weekly Gross (48 hrs): $3,126/week
- Untaxed Housing Stipend: $770/week
- Untaxed Meals & Incidentals Stipend: $476/week
- Hourly Rate (Taxable): $30/hour
- Overtime Rate: $85/hour
- Minimum 2 year of recent LPN Psychiatric State Hospital experience
- Active RN license (Montana or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and patient observation skills
