Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour
About the Role:
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Psychologist to join our team for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a contracted, on-site position in Fairhaven, MA. The School Psychologist will play a key role in supporting students’ mental health, academic development, and behavioral needs in alignment with district and state guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students
- Conduct initial evaluations and 3-year re-evaluations
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings
- Provide short-term counseling and behavioral support
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop student support strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Support crisis response and classroom interventions
- Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans
- Communicate with families and external providers
- Stay current with district tools and special education regulations

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
- Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
- Master’s degree in psychology preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
