Location: Fairhaven, MA
School Year: 2025–2026

Position Details:

Start Date: August 27, 2025

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM

Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year

Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour

About the Role:

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Psychologist to join our team for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a contracted, on-site position in Fairhaven, MA. The School Psychologist will play a key role in supporting students’ mental health, academic development, and behavioral needs in alignment with district and state guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students
  • Conduct initial evaluations and 3-year re-evaluations
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings
  • Provide short-term counseling and behavioral support
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to develop student support strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
  • Support crisis response and classroom interventions
  • Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans
  • Communicate with families and external providers
  • Stay current with district tools and special education regulations

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services.  The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment 
  • Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred 
  • Master’s degree in psychology preferred 
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
