The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient’s body.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician.  The Nuclear Medicine Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MA ARRT (NM) (CT)- will accept CNMT (with advanced CT license)

  • 2-3+ years of hospital experience.

  • Covid Vacc

  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Details:

Performs routine nuclear medicine imaging which can include complex imaging

examinations and may include attenuation correction and/or

diagnostic CT studies as directed and prescribed by a physician.

Majority of scans involve general Nuclear Medicine scans and PET/CT for Oncology with concurrently acquired diagnostic CT imaging.

Provides a safe environment for patients and follows departmental

QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.
