Amergis Staffing is looking for a passionate ESL Teacher who will be responsible for teaching English as a second language. In this position, you will create lesson plans, develop instructional materials, and assess students’ progress. You will also be expected to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment to help students improve their English language skills.
- $40/hr.
Key Information:
- Regular Monday-Friday schedule
- Teaching at the Middle School/High School level
- $40-$45/hr start rate
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
- Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups.
- Assessing students’ language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs.
- Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
- Collaborating with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Keeping accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English language
- At least 1 year of experience in teaching English as a second language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop lesson plans and instructional materials
- Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or equivalent
- Experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and techniques
- Ability to assess students’ language proficiency and progress
