ESOL/ESL Teacher needed! $40/hr.

Amergis Staffing is looking for a passionate ESL Teacher who will be responsible for teaching English as a second language. In this position, you will create lesson plans, develop instructional materials, and assess students’ progress. You will also be expected to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment to help students improve their English language skills.

• $40/hr.

Key Information:

• Regular Monday-Friday schedule
• Teaching at the Middle School/High School level
• $40-$45/hr start rate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
• Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups.
• Assessing students’ language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs.
• Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
• Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Keeping accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
• Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English language
• At least 1 year of experience in teaching English as a second language
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or equivalent
• Experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds
• Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and techniques
• Ability to assess students’ language proficiency and progress
