Are you passionate about empowering students with visualimpairments to thrive academically and socially? We’re seeking adedicated Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join ourteam and make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.

?? Position Overview:
As a TVI, you’ll provide tailored instruction and support to students withvisual impairments, helping them grow intellectually, socially, andemotionally. You’ll design and implement individualized learning experiencesthat foster independence, confidence, and academic success.

? What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and deliver instructional programs that meet the unique needs of visually impaired students
  • Support students in building essential life skills and academic competencies
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments
  • Adapt curriculum materials and use assistive technology to enhance accessibility
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

?? What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (or eligibility to obtain certification)
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for inclusive education and student-centered teaching

?? Pay Rate: $50/hour + benefits
?? Location: Morgantown, WV

?? Schedule: Full time, M-F, no nights, weekends, or holidays

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by stateregulations
  • One year experience as a teacher for the visually impairedpreferred 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
