Pharm Tech II — South Kingstown, RI

  • Monday-Friday — Every Other Weekend
  • Flex Shift — 1st / 2nd shift
  • 40 hrs per week
  • 13 week contract — Extensions Possible
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician II to join our inpatient pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. This role is vital to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
  • Accurately fill medication orders and unit dose carts.
  • Maintain and manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
  • Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis).
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor Pharmacy Technician I staff as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
