Labor and Delivery RN | $3000 Weekly | Lompoc, CA

The Labor and Deliverynurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of thenursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D Setting.  The Labor and Delivery nurse demonstrates theability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner withsupervision.

The labor and deliverynurse works with Mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping withbirthing, monitoring the Mother’s vital signs, and becoming astute in signs andsymptoms of possible complications.  Thelabor and delivery nurse is involved in patient education and addressing thepsychosocial needs of Mothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinkingand performance ability in the coordination of patient care.  Consistently performs according to nursingstandards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care.

Pay: $3045 weekly |$2079 in stipends

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice.
• One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience within the last three years preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
