Amergis Is seeking highly skilled Psych RN Psych or a position in Canon City, CO 81212. 

Position Description: 

Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse requires a broad range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, as well as the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently and exhibits critical thinking and performance skills in coordinating patient care. The PMH RN works in various settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Details:

• Number of Openings: 1
• Start Date: ASAP
• Length of Contract: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8 AM – 9 PM, Friday-Sunday
• Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (Must work weekends)

• Must be licensed in Colorado or in the process of obtaining a Colorado license

Pay Package:

·         Travel Pay Rate: $35/hr x 36hrs= $1,260wk

·         Weekly Allowances: $1,246 (Meals $476wk and Housing $770wk)

·         Total Weekly Paycheck Gross: $2,506wk 

Assignment Highlights:

• Working with children ages 10-18
• Sub-Acute and Acute units (preference for candidates who can float between the two)
• Dealing with children experiencing trauma, including self-destructive behaviors, mood disorders, dissociative disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, etc.
