$2,926 wk./48 hrs. or $2,218 wk./36 hrs. 
Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 3 years as RN, 1 full year of ICU, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population:   General ICU, post stroke, CRRT, sepsis, DKA, post code, respiratory distress. Neuro – drains, biopsies, ventriculostomy. Travelers will primarily be assigned to general ICU patients but may take more acute neuro patients once established on the unit.
Skillset: 
REQUIRED: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessement skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), ETT/vent management (RT available), Intitate/titrate (sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, etc.), sepsis protocols/care. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
PREFERRED: CRRT, tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion (Belmont).
Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Unit Information : 32 beds.  Ratio: Days 1:2; NOCs 1:2; CN typically takes 1:1 assignment.
Unit Strengths: Seasoned perm staff with excellent teamwork. Manager has been with organization since 2008.
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psycho-social changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.
  • Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
  • Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifies deviation from the plan of care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
  • Minimum of one year Neuro ICU (RN) experience within the last three years preferred.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS card (per facility or contract requirement.
  • Successful completion of the Amergis screening for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices
